The Hughes 500 — the small five-blade utility helicopter, derived from the Vietnam-era OH-6 Cayuse — captured as an electric RC scale model.
The Hughes 500 is the civilian designation for the OH-6 Cayuse light observation helicopter family. The OH-6 first flew on February 27, 1963, and entered U.S. Army service in 1966 as one of the primary scout helicopters of the Vietnam War. The civilian Hughes 500 (and later MD 500 series under MD Helicopters) has been a popular police, EMS, and corporate helicopter for decades.
A scale helicopter subject. Use it for sport-scale rotorcraft flying with the visual character of the real airframe.
