The Boeing-Vertol CH-46 Sea Knight — the tandem-rotor transport helicopter that served the U.S. Marines for half a century — captured as an RC scale model.
The CH-46 Sea Knight is the work of Boeing-Vertol (originally Vertol Aircraft), with the prototype Model 107 first flown in 1958. The CH-46 entered Marine Corps service in 1964 and served as the Corps' primary medium-lift assault transport for over fifty years before being replaced by the Bell-Boeing V-22 Osprey starting in 2007. The unmistakable tandem-rotor configuration is shared with the larger CH-47 Chinook.
A scale helicopter subject. Use it for sport-scale rotorcraft flying with the visual character of the real airframe.
