You can fly with touch, keyboard, or any gamepad / Xbox controller — but for realistic RC flight you want an RC-style transmitter. Regular gamepads self-center the throttle, which is wrong for planes. A dedicated USB simulator transmitter (around $30–40 on Amazon) gives you a ratcheted throttle and proper stick feel and works on Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, and Android.
