The Boeing-Vertol CH-47 Chinook — the U.S. Army's heavy-lift tandem-rotor transport, in continuous service for over six decades — captured as an RC scale model.
The CH-47 Chinook is the work of Boeing-Vertol. The prototype YHC-1B first flew on September 21, 1961, and the type entered U.S. Army service in 1962. The Chinook has been in continuous front-line service ever since, making it one of the longest-serving military aircraft in U.S. history. The unmistakable tandem-rotor configuration carries enormous cargo loads and underslung equipment in environments where conventional helicopters cannot operate.
A scale helicopter subject. Use it for sport-scale rotorcraft flying with the visual character of the real airframe.
