About

The Raptor 60 is part of the Thunder Tiger Raptor product line, a Taiwanese RC manufacturer whose helicopter family has been a flying-field staple since the late 1990s. The Raptor 60 represented an inflection point in RC helicopter accessibility — collective-pitch 3D capability at a price point that previously belonged to fixed-pitch trainers. Like every well-loved nitro RC heli, the Raptor 60 earns its place in the hobby by being three things at once: capable of unlimited 3D handling, mechanically robust enough for years of club flying, and supported by a worldwide parts supply that made long-term ownership economical.

The .60 designation refers to the .60-cubic-inch (about 10cc) glow engine class — the standard middle-ground RC helicopter powerplant for outdoor 3D flying. Generations of helicopter pilots earned their 3D wings on Raptor 60s.
