About

The ParkZone Vapor is one of the most successful ultra-micro RC trainers ever produced. Part of the ParkZone product line (a Horizon Hobby brand), the Vapor was designed for the smallest practical scale of RC flight — the kind of indoor, ultra-low-wing-loading airframe that lets a beginner fly safely in a living room, gymnasium, or office space.

Like every well-loved ultra-micro trainer, the Vapor earns its place in the hobby by being three things at once: small enough to fly indoors with no risk of damage to the surroundings, slow enough that a brand-new pilot can react to its movements, and durable enough to survive the inevitable contacts with walls and ceilings. Construction is typically Depron foam or similar ultra-light foam materials, with a small brushless motor and a tiny lithium-polymer battery delivering minutes-long flights.

The Vapor put indoor RC flying within reach of new pilots in a way that earlier indoor designs (which typically required custom radio gear or careful trim management) could not match. ParkZone's ready-to-fly approach — a complete radio system, charger, and aircraft in a single box — made the Vapor a particularly successful gateway product.

A friendly indoor scale subject. Slow, gentle handling at the smallest practical scale. Use it to learn fundamental control coordination in the kind of confined airspace where larger aircraft simply can't fly.
