About

The Sky Trainer 400 is a high-wing .40-class trainer in the kind of timeless category that has been the entry point into RC flying for generations of pilots. Like every well-loved high-wing trainer, it earns its place in the hobby by being three things at once: stable enough to be flown by a brand-new pilot, capable enough to grow into mild aerobatics on, and durable enough to survive the inevitable hard landings of early solo flight.

The recipe hasn't changed in forty years. Generous dihedral and a high wing self-right when you let go of the sticks. The flat-bottomed airfoil refuses to surprise with sudden stall. Wide-track landing gear forgives sloppy approaches. Bright, high-visibility livery keeps orientation clear at altitude.

In the simulator

The default starting point for new pilots. Stable, predictable, and slow enough to react to. Use it to learn the four core skills: coordinated turns, pattern flying, takeoff trim, and recovery from unusual attitudes. A natural sibling of the AileronTrainer (Aerobatic Trainers pack), E-starter (CV Planes Pack 3), and other generic high-wing trainers across the catalog.
