The Scorpion Gunship is a futuristic-themed RC novelty model in the dual-rotor military-gunship aesthetic — the visual style of fictional military aircraft from science-fiction films and games where ducted-rotor configurations replace conventional helicopters in imagined near-future or off-world combat scenarios. The recognizable design language of these fictional gunships — twin large ducted rotors, central armed body, sci-fi camouflage paint — has been part of popular military science-fiction since the late twentieth century.
This RC implementation is a novelty subject in the same fan-tribute tradition that has produced flying RC X-wings, TIE fighters, and other speculative aircraft. Building a flyable rotorcraft based on this kind of fictional design typically involves either a quadrotor-like flight system disguised in the sci-fi shell, or a ducted-fan / hybrid-rotor implementation that translates the visual aesthetic into a working RC airframe.
