About
The Agusta A109 first flew on August 4, 1971, and entered service shortly after as a twin-turbine civilian and military light helicopter. Italian-built and widely exported, the A109 has served in executive transport, EMS, military, and law enforcement roles. The Koala variant introduced in the 1990s was a wide-body refinement for transport operations.
