About

The ParkZone F-27 Stryker is part of the ParkZone product line, a Horizon Hobby brand built around durable foam construction and ready-to-fly EDF and propeller-driven aircraft. The Stryker was one of ParkZone's defining electric jet-style sport flyers — a swept-wing pylon-prop foamy that delivered the visual aesthetic of a jet without the cost or complexity of a true ducted-fan installation, then evolved into actual EDF variants for pilots seeking authentic jet flight character.

Like every well-loved sport jet foamy, the Stryker earns its place in the hobby by being three things at once: fast enough to be exciting on the controls, tough enough to survive the inevitable hard landings of high-wing-loading sport flying, and simple enough to take out of the box and fly the same afternoon. ParkZone's "Z-Foam" construction (a moulded particle foam tougher than traditional EPP) makes for an airframe repairable on a workbench with hobby glue.

The bigger picture is the sport-jet foamy category itself. Whether ParkZone Stryker, FunCub, or any of dozens of similar designs from competing manufacturers, swept-wing fast foamies have become a distinctive niche between conventional sport flyers and the more demanding EDF jet category.

In the simulator

A fast, sharp-handling sport jet. Quick response, narrow turn radius, and approach speeds that demand precision compared to a conventional sport flyer. A natural sibling of the F-27C Stryker variant in this same pack.
